Hello!  It is cold again in Texas and I just can't seem to get warm!  Which is why this kit from by Romajo seemed very appropriate to me this week!  I felt cold every time I looked at it, and it had the perfect colors to scrap an ice festival we went to a few years ago (yes! a few years ago).  I'd never been inspired to make a layout until I saw these papers.  They were the perfect match to the coats they let you borrow at the festival!  (no one in Texas has coats that warm!  LOL).

They can be found on Romajo's blog and store.  They're also half off this first week!  Can't beat that!!

And here is my two page layout.

Lastly, I was inspired to try a little freebie again.  I hope it turned out ok!  I really do want to keep warm!  LOL  Have a wonderful weekend!  I'm off to spend my weekend doing Cub Scout & Girl Scout things (cookie time!!)

Happy Mid Week!  I spent last weekend scrapping!  72 glorious hours of digital scrapbooking.  I got so many things done.  Most of which I completed two small albums of our Elves visiting us.  The first was their visits from 07-09 and the second was their 2011 visit (I'd already completed 2010).  I take a picture of their antics and then make a small 20 page book out of it.  Here is just a sample of two pages I made using Chelle's Creations, Naughty or Nice.

Speaking of Chelle's Creations, I read on her blog the other day (http://www.chelles-creations.com/2014/new-year-new-goals-digital-scrapbooking-inspiration/) that she was attempting to scrap a page a day for 2014.  I LOVE that idea!  I'm going to attempt to do it as well.  If there are days I don't get a page done, I'm going to count that day as a page I did at my past cropping weekend.  haha!  Which means that I'm already good through February.  :)  At any rate, I do try to finish at least 3-4 pages a week.  One of the wonderful things about digital!  I can work on a page in so many different places as opposed to when I did traditional pages!

I also wanted to take a moment to share with you a sneak peak from by Romajo.  Coming this weekend - the start of her P12 - 2014!  I was so excited to get a peak at this January kit.  I'd been waiting for the right colors to inspire me to scrap some pages about a visit to the Gaylord Texan's ICE! festival we went to in 2010.  Yes, 2010!!   I finally got them done this week.  The colors truly inspired me to dig them off of the external hard drive and scrap them!

Also, did you know Mousescrappers.com has a speed scrap marathon coming up soon?  Feb 7-9 there will be 16 challenges throughout the weekend.  Each one will allow you the opportunity to complete a page for a prize - as well as if you complete half or all of the challenges, you'll get bonus free stuff!!  I love FREE!  I'm hosting a challenge at 6pm CT that weekend and would like to invite you to participate.  I would suggest that if you don't have a login that you create one and play around on the site before the marathon starts.  These challenges can be done traditionally too!  www.mousescrappers.com

Have a great rest of your week!

Happy Saturday!  I hope those of you who have been hit with the frigid cold have thawed out a bit.  We certainly have!  It's supposed to be 60-70 this weekend.  What a change!

I spent some time scrapping this past week!  I've been hosting some challenges over at Mousescrappers.  I'm getting geared up for the upcoming marathon of speed scraps (early February).  It's a great way to get some pages done!

by Romajo has a super adorable kit today for you.  It's available in her store for 50% off for the first week.  This kit is huge!  And there's even a bundle.  I'm talking cute little squirrels, wood themed paper and some super nature items for you.  Perfect for scrapping pages about camping, hiking, Chip & Dale, or even Wilderness Lodge at Disney (can you tell I have Disney on the brain?).
Her blog can be found at http://romajoscrap.blogspot.com/
and her shop at http://romajoscrapshop.weebly.com/

Here's the preview of the kit and some of the extra fun items also available alone, or within the bundle!

This kit is so large you'll find so many uses for it!  Here's what I started with this week.

And I even made a freebie word art for you!  I'm new to the art of making freebies, so I hope those of you who see it, like it :).  Some times we just have those people in our lives that we love to pieces and so I made a title called "Nuts for You".  I plan to use it on a page about my husband :)  LOL

Happy Saturday!  I've been busy enjoying an absolutely beautiful Saturday in Texas.  My kids played their first Basketball game of the season and am a proud Momma today of two progressively great basketball players!

I'm working on a post to show you how we turned handprints into Santa's for Christmas gifts, and in the meantime I wanted to share with you this ADORABLE fairy kit from by Romajo.  This was a freebie she offered a few weeks ago, and it is now available in her store. http://romajoscrapshop.weebly.com/  I love this kit.  It is blue & pink based and has a wintery/summer feel, but also a feeling of softness for any girl in your life.  Check out by Romajo's blog for more layouts and news!  http://romajoscrap.blogspot.com/

This past summer my Daughter, Mother in Law and I went on a search for Fairy Doors in downtown Ann Arbor.  If you're ever in the city, it's a cute thing to do.  Local businesses have unexpectedly had fairy doors appear near their stores.  Some have windows you can peek in and see all the gifts people leave for them; gum, sparkles, stickers, candy etc.  We had a blast walking around and searching for the doors.  Ada had an eye for them!  This kit was perfect for preserving the memory.

Last thing scrapping related, by Romajo has bundled all her basic kits into one kit and put them in her store at one low price of $10.  This is a great way to supplement your stash with some basic items in standard colors.  I made a simple facebook timeline with the Christmas basic in gold.  Have you tried using your digital supplies to make a facebook timeline photo?  They're easy and a fun way to spruce up your facebook page!

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Happy New Year!  What are your plans for the new year?  I'm bringing in the new year with a cold.  Never a fun time!

A few announcements today - Marieke with by Romajo has some beautiful freebies for you.  But you can only snag them for a short time; so grab them while you can!

On her Blog is a kit entitled Self Portrait

On her Facebook page you can snag Dare to Dream

then, participate in a blog hop if you would like for 12 months of fun kits!

I created a page about Ada by mixing both of the kits together.  She loves to grab by phone and take her picture.  Sometimes I find a dozen in a day!

And, finally, this Saturday, by Romajo has a new release.  Time for Fairies was a blog hop she did about a month ago.  Here's a sneak peak :)

I hope that whatever your plans are today (and for the rest of the beginning of the new year) that you find some time for crafting/scrapping!
